Tim is a CrossFit Level 2 Trainer holding a myriad of additional training certificates. In over 12 years as a professional coach and trainer, he has accumulated more than 12,000 hours of experience. Tim has a real passion for developing each and every person with a low-tech/high-concept approach where the methods may be “simple” but the results have a depth and breadth that can be explored for years.
Tim’s 30+ years of experience as an athlete includes collegiate sports (football, soccer) and playing semi-pro rugby in New Zealand, South Africa, Ireland and throughout the United States. History as a police officer, construction worker, warehouseman and office worker has given Tim a broad base of understanding to relate to the needs of every client.
Most recently, Tim competed in The CrossFit Games as a 40-44 year old in 2017 and 2018 where he finished 7th and 8th in the world, respectively. There were 28,000+ competitors that he competed against just to qualify for The Games.

Graeme is a CrossFit Level 1 Trainer who has been CrossFitting for over 11 years and coaching for CrossFit Palo Alto for 9 years. He has a passion for the sport of CrossFit stemming from his background in soccer and rowing. Graeme strives to help others construct a solid base of functional movement, to improve their fitness, well being and ultimately to attain their goals. He believes that every person that steps through our door that is willing to commit, work hard and hold themselves accountable for their goals is an athlete.
Alma is a CrossFit Level 1 Trainer and is our ranking member at CrossFit Palo Alto, starting in November 2009. After training in classes for 7 years, Alma followed her passion for CrossFit and helping people by becoming a coach for us. She brings years of group class instruction and a real heart for others to CFPA.
Carrie Lee walked into CrossFit Palo Alto in January 2015 at the age of 55. She left her ego and fear at the door and has never looked back. She has achieved things that she never thought possible like dead lifting 220 lbs. Carrie Lee is humble and grateful every day to be a part of a community that supports, encourages, teaches and affects change.
Now, Carrie Lee is a CrossFit Level 1 trainer and wants to share her transformation story with other “seniors”. She doesn’t just want to inspire others, she wants to be the one to transmit the message and skills it takes for their own transformation. She has been around sports her whole life, from swimming to softball, soccer to martial arts, water skiing to snow skiing, golf to scuba diving and now CrossFit. She has taught swimming to newborns, moms, kids and even a 78 year old grandma that wanted to put her toes in the ocean on her first trip to Hawaii. She has coached softball, baseball and led water exercise programs for seniors.
Danielle started CrossFit in 2012 at CrossFit Palo Alto and is a stay-at-home mom for her toddler, Luke. She’s always had a passion for being active, whether that’s hiking, rowing, CrossFitting, or the occasional half-marathon race. Danielle is a CrossFit Level 1 Trainer and CrossFit Kids Trainer.
Carol became a member of CrossFit Local in Chapel Hill, NC in 2011, then relocated to California in 2013 and joined the CrossFit Palo Alto community. She can most often be found taxi-ing her two sons around town, but in her spare time enjoys skiing, mountain biking and hiking. Carol is a CrossFit Level 1 Trainer and CrossFit Kids Trainer.
